Although you have already baked sweets for Easter and now you´re enjoying some free time, a recipe for a simple milkshake always comes in handy. Especially if you´re like me and once in a while you´re craving for flavored milk, banana caramel milkshake is perfect for that time. This milkshake is ready in a moment, mainly if caramel is already cooked, then it´s really a question of few minutes. If you want to experiment a bit, you can use salted caramel instead of traditional one, the success guaranteed as well. I wish you Happy Easter.
- 500 ml milk
- 4 scoop vanilla ice cream + for decoration
- 2 bananas
- 2 x 2 tsp caramel + for decoration
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 90 g butter cut into cubes
- 120 ml whipping cream
Put milk, ice cream and bananas into a blender. Blend it all until smooth.
Caramel: Heat sugar on medium heat when stirring constantly. When it is completely melted, lower the heat and add butter. Stir immediately. Be careful not to burn yourself. When the butter is completely melted, add the whipping cream. Stir immediately. Be careful not to burn yourself – there will be a lot of steam. Cook and stir constantly on medium or high heat until it begins to bubble, then switch off immediately. This amount is enough for 1 glass of tartar sauce.
Let caramel cool a bit and pour 2 tsp caramel into the inside of jar. Pour milkshake into jar, top with ice cream and caramel.
