Plum galette

Galette is a simple recipe which you will manage to make really quickly. Plus, there is a great number of variations with fruit and filling. Just to experiment. I made plum galette. This year, we didn´t make plum jam, so there was quite enough of plums. Recipe for dough is from foodnetwork.com, I didn´t change anything, so the dough came out the way it should.

Recipe

Dough:
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
10 tbsp butter
2 tbsp water
1 egg yolk

Filling:
500 g plums
3 tbsp almond flour
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
80 g sugar
1 tsp orange zest
2 tsp cinnamon
Granulated sugar to sprinkle

Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients for dough and process them. Put the dough for about 30 minutes into refrigerator.
2. Roll out the dough after 30 minutes and transfer it to baking pan.
3. Mix almond flour with all-purpose flour. Sprinkle the dough with it, leaving about 3-5 cm empty space all-round.
4. Cut plums to quarters. Create a mixture from sugar and orange zest and toss plums in it. Arrange plums on flour, also leaving about 3-5 cm empty space all-round. Sprinkle arranged plums with cinnamon and granulated sugar. Pick up the empty edges a bit and fold them on plums. Repeat it all-round, until some sort of barrier is created.
5. Bake on 200 degrees about 45 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and bubbles are in plums. Serve it with whipped cream.
