This cake is a typical autumn cake. Moreover, with salted caramel it is yummy. Salted caramel is not difficult to do, if I made it at first try, I´m sure you can make it too. The dough with peanut butter is similar to brownies, it should be kind of raw too.
One more notification, if everything will go well, another recipe should be on my new website, which I´m planning to create. So search and archive will be there as well.
Recipe (baking pan – 42x 32, 5 cm)
For the dough:
340 g melted butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup peanut butter – (I had 340 g butter, so we need 255 g)
3 cups all-purpose flour
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp baking soda
For apples:
5 apples
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup melted butter
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
For caramel:
200 g granulated sugar
90 g butter cut into cubes
120 ml whipping cream
¾ tsp salt
Directions:
1. Mix the melted butter with the sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Add peanut butter and mix it properly using the mixer. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda using a spatula. Pour the dough on a baking pan covered with baking paper. Bake on 180 degrees for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes, add the apples and bake for another 20 minutes, so together bake for 40 minutes.
2. Peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Add flour, sugar, butter and cinnamon and mix it. Sprinkle it on the dough and leave it in the oven for another 20 minutes.
3. When cooled, sprinkle with salted caramel.
4. Salted Caramel: Heat sugar on medium heat when stirring constantly. When it is completely melted, lower the heat and add butter. Stir immediately. Be careful not to burn yourself. When the butter is completely melted, add the whipping cream. Stir immediately. Be careful not to burn yourself – there will be a lot of steam. Cook and stir constantly until it begins to bubble, then switch off immediately. Then add salt and let it cool. After that pour it into a glass jar – this amount is enough for 1 glass of tartar sauce
