Banana bread with hazelnuts and chocolate

 Banana bread is one of the alternative when you don´t want to bake during the half of the day. It is easily done, only time in the oven is a bit long. This version is a bit winter-y, without addition of seasonal fruit. All you need is just chocolate (of course) and one package of hazelnuts. Yogurt in this bread makes from it a great moist dessert.

  1. 115 g butter
  2. 150 g sugar
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 100 g Greek yogurt
  5. 4 large bananas
  6. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  7. 260 g all-purpose flour
  8. 1 tsp baking soda
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. 1 tsp cinnamon
  11. 100 g chopped dark chocolate
  12. 100 g chopped hazelnuts
  1. Mix together butter and sugar. Progressively add eggs. Beat and progressively add yogurt, smashed bananas and vanilla extract. Mix everything together.
  2. In the second bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  3. Add the flour mixture into wet mixture. Add also chopped chocolate and hazelnuts into the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into baking pan which is greased with butter. Cover the baking pan with parchment paper and bake for about 60 minutes on 190 – 200 degrees, until the inserted toothstick will not be clean.
  5. After it is cooled, it can be topped the bread with melted chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.
