I suppose that majority of you have already baked few sweets for Christmas. But for those who don´t have time or want this baking thing to be over soon, there are these Christmas tree brownies. They´re regular brownies cut into triangles with simple mascarpone cream, which makes them the cake that your kids will love as much as you do. Moreover, I´m sure you already know that brownies are simple to make and they´re also one of the best desserts for chocolate lovers.
Christmas tree brownies
Simple brownies, which with a bit of frosting, look like Christmas trees
Servings: 21 pieces
Ingredients
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 250 g butter
- 300 g sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 4 eggs
- 140 g plain flour
- 40 g Dutch cocoa
- Frosting:
- 250 g mascarpone
- 50 ml whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 x tip of knife of green gel food coloring
- sprinkles
- paper straws (4-5 pieces)
Instructions

Melt chocolate, butter and sugar in water bath. Put it aside. Incorporate in the mixture whole eggs one at the time, flour, cocoa and a pinch of salt. Mix it.

Pour the batter on the baking pan covered with baking paper and put it on the oven.

Bake for 25 – 30 minutes on 160 degrees or until the brownie is still a bit raw. It´s not good if toothstick is totally clean because brownies will be dry.

Cut the cooled brownie into triangles, I got 21 pieces.

Frosting:

Mix mascarpone with whipping cream, vanilla extract and food coloring.

Put the mixture in piping bag and decorate brownie as in the picture.

Sprinkle brownies with sprinkles.

Cut 1 paper straw into about 4 – 5 pieces and stick them at the bottom of each brownie so they look like a tree.
