No-bake Lavender Chocolate Cups

Lavender is in hurry this year so I had to use it sooner than I´m used to. Besides lavender syrup and dried lavender for winter, I made No-bake Lavender Chocolate Cups. They are made with dark chocolate cups and whipped cream, cream cheese and lavender filling. Filling is inspired by a traditional chocolate whipped cream, where you add chocolate into heavy cream, cool it and whip it the next day. The same procedure applies also here, but we use lavender instead of chocolate. Thanks to this procedure, filling has a nice and bold lavender taste which is not too bold – it doesn´t resemble to the scent of some air freshener, definitely not. So you don´t even need to turn your oven on and you will get a great refreshing dessert, full of crispy chocolate and creamy filling.

Cups made with dark chocolate and lavender filling
Servings: 12 pieces
Ingredients
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 5 tbsp icing sugar
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • Lavender and raspberries for decoration
Instructions
  1. Melt dark chocolate in water bath. Put about 1 – 2 tbsp of chocolate into a silicone muffin cup, apply it to the bottom and sides of the cup using a paintbrush. Put them in refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  2. Take them out and immediately apply second layer of chocolate in the same way (chocolate should be still warm, if it is not, warm it up a bit so it could be applied well). Put them in refrigerator again for about 15 minutes. Take them out, slowly remove the muffin cup and fill them with filling. If chocolate cracks, it means that chocolate layer is thin and you need to apply one more layer.

  4. Incorporate lavender into heavy cream, put it on medium heat and bring it to boil while stirring constantly. Set it aside and let it cool overnight in a refrigerator.
  5. Discard lavender using a sieve or gauze the next day.
  6. Whip heavy cream.
  7. Add cream cheese and icing sugar, whip again.
  8. Add blue and red food coloring in filling in order to get a purple color.
  9. Divide filling evenly into all chocolate cups.
  10. Put cups in the refrigerator for a couple hours to get firm.

    Zdravím, máte úžastné recepty, tlieskam a chválim!!!!!!!
    Len tak som sa dostala na vašu stránku, lebo som potrebovala, citronovú polevu a našla som tu u vás citrónový cheesecake, paráda, už sa chladí v chladničke.

      Ďakujeeem krásne, veľmi ste ma potešili a teším sa, že sa páčia. Dúfam, že cheesecake chutil a že budú rovnako chutiť aj iné recepty. Potom pokojne napíšte, či sa podaril/i 🙂
