Strawberry Cream Cheese Tartlets

Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries everywhere. In my case, strawberries and tartlets. I kind of have tartlet obsession so second recipe in row is for tartlets, specifically for Strawberry Cream Cheese Tartlets. If you remember last year No-bake Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Cups which were so popular, this is exactly the same filling. Cream cheese with sour cream and whipping cream tastes really fresh, summery and is so delicious in combination with any summer fruit. Since gardens are full of fresh strawberries, we have to enjoy them while they last. Moreover, let´s admit it, fresh strawberries look great on a cake. These tartlets will enchant you with their freshness, sweetness and simplicity.

  • 125 g butter
  • 75 g icing sugar
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 30 ml cold water
  • Filling:

  • 300 g fresh strawberries

  2. Mix and combine flour with butter, icing sugar, egg, water and salt. Process it using hands or mixer. Put the dough in a refrigerator for about an hour.
  3. Take the dough out after an hour, roll it out on a floured work surface and put it on greased baking tart pans. Cut off the remaining dough around the edge of the baking pans. Cover the dough with baking paper and weigh it down with, for example, legume.

Recipe Notes
  • Filling will be enough for 7 up to 8 tartlets

Hi, yes, you can definitely use Greek yogurt. It will be a little bit less sour, but I´m sure that it will be tasty as well. But make sure you use yogurt that has higher portion of fat, so filling is firm enough 🙂
